About

Lost Masters is a music project by Caleb Strine from the Pacific Northwest (USA). Building from a dark electronic framework, Lost Masters melds genres to find a unique blend of aggression and beauty. Heavy beats and pointed lyrics lead the way along with dense and rich synth atmospheres to deliver a deep and cathartic listening experience.

Started as an experimental side project, Lost Masters has since taken its own identity of expression, drawing inspiration from Nine Inch Nails, Death Grips, and Rage Against the Machine. Varied releases have included a soundtrack to a live production of Arthur Miller’s “The Crucible” and a series of heavy-edit mashup and sample tracks in “Doomsday” and “Bluster”. Recently, the voice of the project has come to the forefront as more and more lyric-focused tracks have emerged leading to the most recent release, “Pork Belly Futures”, a full-length album of blistering tracks about societal expectations, resistance, and sacrifice.

Within this history of genre shapeshifting, the core of Lost Masters has always been the balance between personal reflection and cultural critique. Expect all of this and more.
